Chris is a man who puts his trust in God and strives to live a life of faith that helps others increase in their own faith. He is a Christian, husband, and father of 3 boys. Chris loves helping clients win in the real-world game of Monopoly by buying and owning real estate. He believes that real estate is the single best tool most people have available to help them build wealth.
Born in Logan County Kentucky, Chris now calls Wilson County Tennessee home with his wife, Melissa and their three boys, Brayden, Jackson and Jordan. He loves deer hunting and fishing with his boys and being an active part of his church family at Mt. Juliet Church of Christ, where he serves as a deacon.
Chris feels very blessed to have started his mortgage lending career in 2004, straight out of college. He opened his own branch, with his brother Clint, in 2008. His branch has been in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee since 2010, and serves all of Tennessee as well as 48 other states in the US! In 2021, Chris and his team joined Preferred Rate which gives him the ability to offer his clients the best financial products available today, as well as faster service and closing times. He believes that the best way to build a business is by taking great care of each individual person and creating experiences that matter. He believes in not just helping someone get a mortgage but coaching them on how that mortgage fits into their overall financial picture and can help build long term wealth for their family.
Since 2008, the branch has successfully grown to more than forty-five employees and serves hundreds of clients each year. And yes, Chris still holds the record at his alma mater, Freed Hardeman University, for the most made three-pointers (10) in a single basketball game – just in case you wondered.
One of Chris’ favorite Bible Verses – Proverbs 3:5-6 – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he will make straight your paths”.
